Data sent to AI providers: When you use our AI-powered chatbot or assistant, the information you provide during the conversation (which may include your name, business details, contact information, and the content of your messages) is transmitted to our AI technology provider, currently OpenAI, LLC (“OpenAI”), in order to generate responses and process your enquiry.
Purpose and lawful basis: We process your data through AI Tools on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) in providing efficient, accessible comparison services to our users. Where you voluntarily submit personal data through an AI Tool to obtain a quote or comparison, we also rely on the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
Data retention by AI providers: Our AI technology provider processes your data in accordance with their own privacy policy and data processing terms. As at the date of this policy, OpenAI’s API data usage policy states that data submitted via the API is not used to train their models. International transfers: Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the United Kingdom, including the United States, where our AI technology provider operates.
